registration is open: experiments in felt futures
a four-month literary immersion with a free discovery and soundscape session
It’s been a little over two whole years since I’ve designed, launched, and facilitated my own creative offering outside of network and movement spaces.
This return to stewarding longheld dreams—on my own terms and rhythms—has been giving me life in more ways than one and I’m grateful to share this invitation with you, especially now. Amid precarious times and rising empires that want to keep us disconnected and disembodied from what's possible, experiments in felt futures is asking—
what if we commit to entering the practice ground to feel, dream, and design the futures we long for and love?
The practice ground is fertile for us to remember and explore the liberatory lifeforce of felt futures that exists within ourselves. Here, we can shape a creative practice that honors our (dis)abled bodies and lineages, nurtures our abundant creativity, renews our rituals, and protects our devotions.
Guided by my book collection, we have this opportunity to be in intimate community and begin transforming the collection’s pages into praxis and play. I loved going through the process of dreaming around each book becoming its own practice ground, activating all of the inquiries, diagrams, and creative possibilities throughout the narratives. I wrote and designed it for that reason—to play with the experimental concept of felt futures—on and beyond the page—and invite you to (re)build your own creative practice that embodies sensorial ways of being, knowing, relating, and making.
Through that dreaming process, a framework intuitively developed while participating in the Winter 2024 Seed A World Retreat at
. Focusing on one book each month, every corresponding week invites us to connect with the presence of felt futures and experiment with the key practices of communal storytelling, intimate correspondence, ritual design, and devotion documentation. An invitation to pause. When you gaze at this framework for “experiments in felt futures” what sensations, thoughts, and emotions come alive for you?

This sensuous compass will guide us in designing the futures our creative being and practice are longing to live inside. Here are some juicy details:
The intimacy
To stay in the spirit of intimate community and spaciousness for us to really embrace the sensorial while seeding worlds of care, only 12 spots are available.
Two of those spots include full scholarships for Black disabled and/or chronically ill folks with a creative practice. I’m making these scholarships available in loving regard for the Black, disabled, and chronically ill body from which I, too, create.
The people
This is for creative and intuitive beings, space holders, designers, artists, writers, organizers, care givers, care receivers, wild worldmakers, and multidimensional dreamers.
This is for people who know how necessary it is to create the conditions for feeling deeply and moving toward more possibilities, especially as we do the work of collective care and liberation.
This is for folks who refuse to be disembodied in their creative practice and want to curiously engage with the sensorial, intuitive, intimate, sensuous, known, and unknown.
The cadence
experiments in felt futures will flow from August 2 - November 22, beginning with a Welcome Gathering and ending with a Closing Ceremony.
We will convene at Zoomland twice per week on Tuesdays (Guided Experiments) and Thursdays (Embody Sessions) from 5:30 - 7:30PM EST. Recordings of each sessions will be determined by the group.
Remembering breath as creative sustenance, Pause and Integration weeks will also be woven in between each month for us to saturate in the illuminations and practices wanting to come through.

If you’re feeling genuinely curious about this creative offering, I’m hosting a free discovery and soundscape session next Tuesday, July 15th, 6-8PM EST.
Not only will you have moments to learn more about experiments in felt futures and ask questions, you’ll also be the first to hear four new soundscapes of me echoing excerpts from my book collection to explore sound as care, rest, and creative catalyst. Each soundscape is created in collaboration with Filipinx-American ambient musician and designer Camille Nibungco (they/she) from Los Angeles, California. Come create a cozy sanctuary for yourself made for conversation and deep listening.
Everyone who attends will receive a special early enrollment price (announced at the event) when registering by July 18.
Will you experiment alongside me and meet me on the practice ground?
feeling our futures,
